Liver Tours - NEW CLUB HOUSE - Meeting Place

GOOD NEWS 



As we move forward with our future plans & improvements, we have listened to our riders & found that a lot of you want to have a regular voice & input to our rides, so from Friday 16, March we are going to invite you all to our new meeting place, at Aintree Golf course. We have permission to use there clubhouse for our regular meeting.


Our first meeting at our new venue is at 6:00pm. Everyone is invited, there is a nice coffee bar & food is available, Alan tells me we can also get a pint if needed, all at very reasonable prices.


PS : Can all the riders booked in for the Easter ride please try to attend as we are discussing this ride first 


The main items for discussion this week are: 


1) Transpennine Trail Liverpool to Hull Bike ride at Easter 
2) Agree our next 3 months Bike rides

Getting to Aintree Golf Club, Liverpool
                                                                                                                                                                          
Aintree Golf Centre is situated in the centre of the world famous Aintree Racecourse, home of the John Smiths’ Grand National. Access to the golf centre is via Melling Road.
By Road
Aintree Racecourse is located on the A59, just one mile from the M57 and M58, which link the M62 and M6. Follow the A59 to Liverpool and the AA signs as you approach the racecourse for routes to the car parks. From South Leave M6 at J21A and join M62 west. Leave M62 at J6 to join M57, follow signs for races. From North Leave M6 at J26 and join M58, follow signs for races. From Mersey Tunnels Follow signs for Preston, then for A59, then signs for racecourse
By Rail
The easiest way to reach Aintree is by train. The nearest mainline station to Aintree is Liverpool Lime Street. Liverpool Central Station is just a short walk from Lime Street, where you can catch a train to Aintree. Aintree Station is directly opposite the racecourse, where regular trains run every 71/2 minutes on race days.
By Bus
Aintree can be reached by bus on services: 300, 311, 345, 350 and 351 both to and from Liverpool. From Bootle New Strand take route 61A. For further information on bus routes, contact Traveline on 0871 200 22 33 or visit www.merseytravel.gov.uk

Follow the Liverpool Loop line Route 62 to Aintree (TCP) Transpennine Trail. Exit after Aintree Train Station at Greenwich Road (TL) then (TR) into Melling Road its 150 metres on the Right.
